Below Kelly tells us more about her current role and career development, along with some top tips…
Hi Kelly! Tell us a bit about your role and how you came to the Rombourne, Newport Centres?
I completed my level 3 Business and Administration and was very lucky to start with Rombourne just after. I have been with Rombourne since October 2016 where I developed from a Receptionist Administrator to a Senior Receptionist.
What’s a typical day like for you at Rombourne?
Here at Langstone we are always busy, no two days are the same but as a rule I am managing reception, answering phone calls, handling boardroom bookings, liaising with clients and their visitors. Receiving and ensuring the delivery of post and parcels.
When new clients move in, I make sure that they are happy and have everything they need when moving into their new office. I also manage the telecoms programming to ensure they are receiving calls exactly how they like to suit the business’s needs.
What is your favourite thing about working at Rombourne?
I love the atmosphere and my favourite part of working at Rombourne is coming in everyday to see the team and liaising with the clients.
What’s the most challenging aspect of your role and why?
There isn’t anything particular that I find challenging about my role, but for me personally I like to ensure all our clients are happy and satisfied with the Rombourne service on a daily basis and we have a lot of clients!
What essentials do you take to work, and why?
I take my lunch to work and flat shoes for when I’m delivering the post and putting orders away. We have three buildings so there is a lot of walking!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at Rombourne?
In my spare time I am a busy mum taking my two boys football training and to matches. I enjoy eating out with family and friends. I also enjoy going to the gym.
What would be your number one reception etiquette tip?
Whatever happens keep smiling.
In Newport we have three centres on the Langston Business Park providing flexible service agreements and modern contemporary offices. To find out more please contact @rombourne today.
